So. It continues. The entire process has been fascinating so far, writing in someone else's universe. There's an extraordinary amount of canon and lore to play with in the Metroid universe. There's also a lot of untapped potential :D However, it's not without its problems. How does one characterize a character who hasn't uttered a word in all her games? The persistent theme between all the Metroid games is the feeling of loneliness. It's a unique aspect that has amplified the unique and palpable atmosphere of each game. It also indirectly characterized Samus as a lonely soul, and this loneliness will be the focal point for her character.

*facepalm I've been in kind of a writing slump for the past month, no interest whatsoever.  Felt like I was stagnating. Then this idea hits me with all the subtlety of a baseball bat. I've had ideas for fanfics in the past, but never acted on them in favor of continuing my Adrala series.  Since Adrala wasn't really going anywhere, I decided "Why the hell not?" So here it is.  The prologue for "Metroid: Relic" is in my gallery and I threw together a fan-page for it on Facebook.  Call it an experiment on how far networking can take me. I'm having fun with it so far and pleased with the direction that it's taking. So give it a look.  Tell

Well, this is the third time I've said I'm "done" with The Towers of Adrala: The Stirrings (Still not happy about the suffix name).  Honestly, I think the word "Final Draft" is a fairy tale, but here I go...again. I am done. The first three chapters have been deleted and expanded into five.  Everything up to the ninth has been re-written.  Major restructuring done to the rest of the story.  The only thing that still bothers me, aside from the title, is the fact that I lost the re-write to the tenth chapter.  I am simply putting my OCD aside and submitting, cringing whenever someone mentions that godforbidden excerpt.
